As a result, Shackletons Milling decided that to guarantee no cross contamination, it would build a Stand-Alone Milling Facility rather than just a Gluten Free Production Area. We also have Substantive Research and Development Facilities, particularly in Bakery Products and would be delighted to assist in the Development of your own Gluten Free Products, or we can supply you with Gluten Free Blends developed in-house. All Gluten Free Blends are laboratory tested prior to dispatch.
We are experts at mixing and blending a variety of seeds to produce yeasted health breads. The mixes can be manufactured as an all in mix or a concentrate. The product can be packed in a pack size that is tailor-made to your weight requirements - All our products are packed in Rip and Tip bags to ensure no paper or thread enters your product.
Shackletons milling are experts in the manufacture of traditional soda bread mixes. The majority of our wheats are locally grown and are thoroughly cleaned in our wheat cleaning plant prior to milling on our French Burr Stonemill . We produce a large range of muffins varying from 5 day shelf life to 90 day long shelf life muffins. Our range includes plain, traditional, chocolate, blueberry and savoury, which the bakery can produce in frozen or ambient forms. Our NPD people are constantly adding to this range.
We manufacture a large range of scone mixes from complete mixes to concentrates. Some of our mixes incorporate encapsulated raising agents which enables the bakery to manufacture frozen pucks. These pucks can be baked directly from frozen.
Shackletons produce pizza mixes for a number of commercial pizza manufactures. Our mixes can be made incorporating dry yeast which simplifies the baking process.
Our pancake mixes tick a variety of boxes: high fibre, high protein, no added sugar, gluten-free and suitable for vegans.
